The version in the tool drifts from the version your collaborators see, and now you have two problems.

We made the opposite bet. Your writing already lives in Google Docs — that’s where the comments, the collaborators, and the history are. So Write to Stick goes to the document instead of asking the document to come to us.

The loop is short: import a Doc with headings and tables intact, sharpen it in Write to Stick — tighten the argument, run the voice check, fix the weakest link — and push the result back to the same document. No copy-paste, no fork, no “final_v3_ACTUAL” in a second app.

This part of the product isn’t a metaphor. It’s plumbing, and the point of plumbing is to be boring: the sharpest editor is the one that fits into where the work already happens.
