Terms of Service

Agreement

These terms govern your use of Write to Stick, an AI word processor. By signing in or using the service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Your account

You access the service with your Google account, or with a legacy invite code if you joined before Google sign-in existed. Your account is for you: don’t share credentials or invite codes, and don’t resell access. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.

Acceptable use

Use the service lawfully. You may not use it to generate content that is illegal or that violates the rights of others; attempt to probe, overload, or disrupt the service; circumvent billing or credit metering; scrape or programmatically abuse the AI endpoints; or misuse the Google Docs integration to access files you are not entitled to.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, abuse the service, or attempt to defraud the billing system. Where practical we will warn first, but we reserve the right not to.

AI-generated content

AI output is a suggestion, not a fact and not professional advice. The AI is designed for restraint — it never applies changes automatically, and it is instructed to mark gaps rather than fabricate specifics — but no AI system is perfect. AI edits and drafts may be inaccurate, incomplete, or wrong. You review every AI suggestion before accepting it, and you are solely responsible for the final text you produce, publish, or rely on.

Credits and billing

AI operations are billed against a prepaid credit balance, metered per token of AI usage at our published effective rates (which include a markup over raw model cost). New accounts receive a small free starting balance. Top-ups are processed by Stripe.

Rates may change as underlying model costs change. Credits have no cash value, are not transferable, and are non-refundable except where required by law. If your balance reaches zero, AI features stop working until you top up — your documents remain fully accessible and editable.

Your content

Your documents are yours. We claim no ownership of or license to anything you write or generate, beyond the transient processing needed to run AI operations you invoke (see the Privacy Policy for exactly where content flows).

Your documents are stored locally in your browser, not on our servers, and we keep no backups of them. You are responsible for exporting and backing up your own work. We are not liable for content lost to cleared browser data, device failure, software errors, or any other cause.

Service changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the service, or any feature of it, at any time. We may change these terms; the “Last updated” date at the top reflects the current version, and continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI output will be accurate or suitable for any purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenues, data, use, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim arising out of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [jurisdiction to be specified], without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
